Where open fire cooking meets the rhythm of the
marina, Thalassamou welcomes discerning guests and
moored yachts from morning until night — a vibrant hub
for those seeking something beyond the ordinary.

Thalassamou has never been about trends. It has always been
about essence — fire, flavor, and a grounded authenticity that
speaks without needing to impress. Now, after years of cultivating a
loyal following, the restaurant finds itself in a new home: relocated
above the newly built marina of Aliki, where the view opens to sea
and sky, and the flame still burns just as slow.
open fire cuisine oyster bar From morning to night, Thalassamou welcomes guests arriving from
land or sea. Thanks to its prime location overlooking the marina,
it offers seamless service to yachts and sailing crews — whether
it’s a fresh breakfast delivered at berth, or a long dinner shared
as sails rest and light fades into gold.
At the heart of the experience is the open fire kitchen, where
Chef / Owner Marios Salmatanis returns to fundamentals: clay
            pots, cast iron, open flame. Scorpionfish roasts in the wood oven;
sourdough breathes like memory; every dish is touched by fire and
served with intention. This is cooking with patience, with instinct —
and always with reverence to the land that gives.
The space, redesigned for this next chapter, is open and elemental.
Parian marble, wood, breeze, light — the architecture frames
the marina without overpowering it. Every detail has been
considered, including the handcrafted ceramic tableware, created
in collaboration with @anthologistliving and designed by Andria
Mitsakos. Organic in form, they hold food like vessels of story.
Open daily from 09:00 to 23:00, Thalassamou flows with the rhythm
of the port. Breakfast, lunch, aperitivo, dinner — each moment
offers a different light, a different flavor, a different kind of pause.
And for those at sea, provisioning is offered with care: freshly baked
bread, seasonal produce, fine wines, and dishes prepared by the
chef himself — everything you need, brought directly to your boat.
Thalassamou hasn’t changed in spirit. But its new setting, touched
by salt and sun, feels like a natural evolution. A restaurant that
belongs to its place — and invites you to do the same.
