What drew you personally to
Mykonos for this first pop-up?
Beyond its global fame, what are the
elements of the island — the nature,
the light, the spirit — that truly speak
to you and feel aligned with the
NANIS universe?
There’s a kind of gold that only exists
in Mykonos — and I’m not talking
about metal. It’s in the light, the
way it dances on the white walls,

the sea, the skin. It has this soft
brilliance that’s alive, never static.
That same quality is what I try to
capture in my jewelry: movement,
transformation, lightness. Mykonos
doesn’t conform. It has ancient roots
and a wildly modern soul — like a
woman who knows exactly who she
is and yet loves to surprise you. That
contradiction, that freedom, that
sensuality — it felt like NANIS. When
I walked the streets, I thought, yes,
our jewels could breathe here.
