PATTERNS OF LEGACY
Though born from the neoclassical façade of Hotel Grande Bretagne, the vibrant geometry of Mary Katrantzou’s silk twill scarf (created
exclusively for Hotel Grande Bretagne’s Always Grand Collection) reflects a striking visual kinship with the coffered ceiling of the Academy
of Athens (opposite). A dialogue between two Athenian icons—one carved in marble, the other woven in silk.
Αν και εμπνευσμένο από τη νεοκλασική πρόσοψη του Hotel Grande Bretagne, το γεωμετρικό μοτίβο του μεταξωτού μαντηλιού της Mary
Katrantzou (που δημιουργήθηκε αποκλειστικά για τη συλλογή Always Grand) θυμίζει έντονα το φατνωματικό ταβάνι της Ακαδημίας Αθηνών
